About Us

With the launch of this web-site we are pleased to announce the joining of Nappy Nation Products and Bumbletots Ltd.  Our new company can now bring together the experience of the many people who made it happen.  Both companies were established by dedicated real nappy using mothers and then developed with the support and expertise of skilled UK manufacturers to bring you a comprehensive range of real nappies to fit your lifestyle needs and budget.

Bumbletots Ltd
Bumbletots was born when two mothers Jane McQuitty and Alison Williams, wanted to use real nappies on their babies, but were baffled by how to go about it.  To help other mothers like themselves they decided to establish the service they needed and Bumbletots Laundry Service was created in 2004.

Nappy Nation Products
In 2001 Margaret King and Deirdre Johnson, two cloth nappy using mothers, decided to design a nappy that had all the advantages of a traditional terry, but with the added advantage of a shaped nappy with elastication, easy closure and good containment. After much cutting and sewing the now patented “No-Fold Terry” was born (UK Patent No:GB2375946) and with it Nappy Nation Ltd was established.

In 2006 Bumbletots had an increasing number of parents asking them for help in sourcing a wider range of nappies for home washing.  This lead to the development of the Bumbletots bamboo nappy designed in partnership with the Babeco social enterprise project.  With this experience and a strong working relationship developed with Babeco Bumbletots were ready when at the end of 2006 they were approached by Nappy Nation Ltd and asked if they would be interested in purchasing the rights to manufacture the Nappy Nation branded nappy range.

In January 2007 work began to combine the skills and experience of the two companies and our new joint web-site to promote both the nappy range and laundry service has now been created.  All nappies are now manufactured through the Babeco Social Enterprise project creating and securing jobs within the UK while also helping keep the carbon footprint to a minimum.
